The story so far
Astra is the German branch of the network, being established as a gemeinnützige Unternehmergesellschaft (gUG) with its registered seat in Aachen and operations in Leipzig. Registration in the Handelsregister is in progress, so the entity currently carries the "i.Gr." (in formation) suffix. Day to day, the group operates as Beyond Borders — a youth-led initiative formed by young people with varied migration backgrounds who want to create inclusive spaces for intercultural dialogue and cooperation. Its work centres on intercultural learning, social inclusion and global citizenship education: non-formal workshops on human rights, civic engagement and environmental responsibility, support for young people taking part in exchanges and training, and locally-led initiatives and online channels that reach young people with fewer opportunities.
Astra is still being set up. A dedicated site is on the way at astra.ngo. In the meantime, reach the German branch through the network.
Roma Voices: Media against discrimination
An Erasmus+ youth exchange in Bucharest exploring discrimination and racism against Sinti and Roma communities through critical media literacy — participants will produce their own podcasts, videos and social media campaigns as counter-narratives. Funding has been secured through Erasmus+ Youth — stay tuned for more.

Founder and managing director, and a history student with a passion for geography. Has taken part in more than 10 Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training courses across Europe, with experience in inclusive facilitation for mixed-ability groups and intercultural communication.
